Overview: A customer has an immune disorder that causes them to be very sensitive to odors, chemicals, and other airbourne pollutants in their home. CroppMetcalfe goes through lengths to try and figure out the best course of actions to ensure the customer is comfortable in their own home using our Home Performance.
The Challenge
The customer has an immune disorder which means that they needed a fresh air ventilation system, heavy duty HEPA & chemical filtration, a dehumidification system, and a heat pump system that needs to operate with the other equipment. The customer was in the process of removing and minimizing the amount of chemicals and air boune pollutants in ther home. After going through many HVAC contractors - they were not able to have systems that matched up without creating negative air pressure and humidity problems in the house. The most challenging part of the process was finding equipment that would fit the customer’s standards.
The Solution

Neil and the customer sat down to see exactly what the customer’s needs were in order to better meet them. Neil helped to properly balance the air flow in the house, fix the HVAC system issues, mantain the system, and remediate, air seal, and re-insulate the attic. Neil helped the customer sign up for a “Gold” Preferred Service Policy. This policy ensure the customer gets priority service, a planned maintenance, discounts for specific repairs, and peace of mind.
Hector was the 5-Star Technician who went above and beyond to showcase his ability to innovate solutions to problems. Hector did the attic remediation, air-sealing, and re-installation. The attic is essential for the health of the customer to protect the indoor air quality.
Neil and Hector worked together to remove all the insulation from the attic, sealing the floor, and then installing all new installation. In addition, they installed ventilation and air purifying equipment to improve the indoor air quality.
