How Clean Is Your Indoor Air?
The Environmental Protection Agency has found the indoor air to be up to 70 times more polluted than outdoor air. They say the air in your home can cause sneezing, watery eyes, coughing, shortness of breath, dizziness, fever and even digestive problems. Our Duct Cleaning service will reduce the air pollution in your home.
Over time, pollutants, mold and bacteria from dirt, pollen, tobacco smoke, pet hair and dust mites collect in the ductwork of your home's heating and cooling system. Every time your furnace, air conditioner, or heat pump runs, these particles whisk through the vents and spew into the air that your family breathes. It's UNSANITARY. It's UNHEALTHY.
What Can You Do?
A CroppMetcalfe Duct Cleaning is the answer. CroppMetcalfe is a certified member of the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA). This means that we adhere to the highest standards in the air duct cleaning industry.

The process we use is as follows:
First, we attach our specially designed vacuum to the supply side of your air duct system. We make this connection at the furnace and/or airhandler. Once the vacuum is activated it creates a powerful suction throughout the entire supply air duct system. Next, we seal each register in your home. This makes the suction stronger. We then go to the furthest register from the furnace and/or airhandler.
We remove the seal from that register and blow high-pressure compressed air into the register. Then we remove the register and insert a “skipper” into the ductwork. The skipper is a high-pressure air hose with a ball at the end of it. This ball is covered with small air vents that shoot out compressed air in every direction. This ball then sweeps the duct and knocks everything loose that is in the ductwork. All of this loose dust and debris is pulled back into the vacuum.
This procedure is repeated at every register in your house. After all of your supply ductwork is cleaned to our satisfaction, we will attach our vacuum to the return side of your air duct system. We will repeat the entire cleaning process on your return grills and return ductwork. After all your ducts are cleaned, we will air wash the coil, and the blower wheel.
It has been CroppMetcalfe’s experience that to follow any other method is likely to lead to regrets and will certainly lead to the job needing to be re-done sooner than it should be. A properly done duct cleaning doesn’t need to be done again for 3 to 5 years, depending on factors such as dirtiness of the environment and quality of filtration.
The CroppMetcalfe duct-cleaning procedure assures that you will get the most out of the investment you make in duct cleaning. Contact us today for more information or schedule an appointment online now.
