CroppMetcalfe's Home Performance Department is excited to announce we will now offer INSULATION SERVICES to our residential customers.

Insulation-Efficiency Insulation-Comfort Insulation-Health-and-Safety

These new services are just one more way we can make our customers' homes more COMFORTABLE, HEALTHY, SAFE, AND ENERGY EFFICIENT. Why should you replace your older, inefficient insulation? Here are a few benefits to consider:

  • You can instantly improve the comfort in your home by reducing drafts and maintaining a consistent temperature level no matter what the weather is outside.
  • It can be expensive to heat and cool air! Older insulation just lets this costly conditioned air out of your attic. Newer, more efficient insulation techniques and products allow you to keep that air in your home, lowering your utility bills in the process.
  • If you're selling your home in the near future, new insulation is a great idea to raise the value of your home in the eyes of potential buyers.
  • More facts from the Department of Energy and other information about recommended Insulation levels.

Still have questions? Here is some more information regarding CroppMetcalfe's INSULATION SERVICES:

What areas can be insulated?

Attics, crawl spaces, storage areas, and garage ceilings are the most common areas we insulate.  However, our Home Performance Expert can provide additional guidance during the in home inspection.

How do I learn more?

We will schedule a free assessment for a CroppMetcalfe Home Performance Expert to evaluate your existing insulation and, if necessary, provide information about areas of potential improvement.

Is the insulation safe?

We use a formaldehyde free insulation and has a low VOC output.  We take all necessary precautions to ensure the insulation is installed in a manner that has minimal impact on the indoor air environment.

For customers who are concerned with the condition of their existing/old insulation, we will remove all the old/dirty/contaminated insulation from your attic, vacuum and then seal all penetrations in the attic floor prior to adding new insulation.  This process helps assure contaminants in the old insulation won’t find their way into your home.

How long does it take to install new insulation?

The time to install new insulation varies based up the size of the area and the work to be performed.  In general, the work can be completed in 3 to 8 hours.

Will there be any mess?

CroppMetcalfe will take all precautions to assure your home remains clean throughout the process. Our Insulation Team will protect the home using drop cloths and plastic. There is a slight chance some insulation will get into the home, but it will be caught by our protective coverings.
